The Australian Pain Society (APS) is delighted to introduce visiting scholar Dr Joke Bradt, Professor in the Department of Creative Arts Therapies at Drexel University (Philadelphia, USA) who will present on the use of music therapy for chronic pain management.

Dr Bradt will discuss how music therapy can contribute to effective pain management by addressing several biological, psychological, and social factors that exacerbate pain. Dr Bradt will also present findings of several research studies she has conducted with people with chronic pain.

This lecture is suitable for both health professionals and people with lived experience of pain.

There will be a 45 minute presentation followed by a 15 minute Q&A session.

The evening will moderated by Dr Laura Prendergast, APS Treasurer.
