APS_35The Australian Pain Society is a not-for-profit organisation that was formed in 1979 as the Australasian Chapter of the International Association for the Study of Pain. Our vision is that all people will have timely recognition, prevention and management of pain across their lifespan.

Last year we marked our 35th anniversary by commissioning a book titled, Australian Pain Society: the first 35 years. We are very proud of our new publication and will be hosting an official launch on Sunday 15th March at the Welcome Reception for the APS2015 conference in Brisbane. Please celebrate with us on the night and and share a slice of cake.

There will also be a History display in the Exhibition Hall with trivia quizzes to test your knowledge and daily prizes for correctly answering the questions. We hope you can find the time to visit the display, check out our timeline wall and watch the slide show summary.

Australian Pain Society: the first 35 years will be available for purchase from the Registration Desk for a special conference only price of $20 (normal price $50).
